Our Founder & Principal Designer
ELENA DeSTEFANO
Born and raised on Philadelphia’s Main Line, Elena’s dedicated 20+ years to professional interior design. She obtained her BS and MS from Drexel University in Interior Architecture & Design and gained experience in commercial and residential design prior to starting Atelier Interiors.
Elevating, inspiring, and sparking intrigue, clients seek out Elena for her talented eye for detail and artistic approach to interior design. She blends her background in psychology and human behavior with spatial intelligence and skill.

Elena understands how design influences mood, behavior, and general wellbeing, and brings her knowledge and expertise together in meticulously crafted spaces that quietly demand attention and make you look twice.
Elena is loved by clients for her personable nature, ambition, communication skills, and commitment to forging long-lasting relationships. She has an innate sense of style which she weaves with expertise and a confident eye to passionately design the most coveted interiors on the Philadelphia’s Main Line.
In her free time, Elena loves hiking, spending time with her Chief Dog Officers, Lady Bird Johnson DeStefano and Lyndon Berry Johnson DeStefano, watching documentaries, and taking her favorite Pilates classes.

Lady Bird joined Atelier Interiors over five years ago and immediately established herself as head of security, schedule enforcement, and pest control. While she takes her job very seriously, she’s also the first to declare an impromptu sun break or sprint across the yard for no reason at all. Known for her sharp eye and even sharper reflexes, she has a particular talent for catching small prey and reminding us all who’s really in charge. Lady Bird does not do mud, mess, or mediocrity—and she only sleeps on the finest fuzzy mohair bed, obviously. When she’s off duty, you’ll find her sunbathing, speed walking the local trails, or silently judging the neighbors.

Elena listened to our needs and lifestyle, then created a design that felt completely personalized. The presentation binder she provided kept us informed and excited throughout the process. We are constantly amazed by how she revitalized our current pieces and incorporated them into her stunning design.
